One song out of the Cinderella score did become a major hit song. That song was “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo”, subtitled “The Magic Song”.
The Mickey animation in this film is notable in itself: it’s almost entirely the work of Paul Murry, who is remembered today for his work in Disney comic books.
On the back of the Poor Cinderella sheet music, it states: “Betty Boop will be forever young. She is the only screen star who possess eternal youth”.

This being the Mouse’s official “birth date”, I thought it would be good to share some of my research in regards to Mickey’s first sound cartoon, Steamboat Willie.
Jerry Beck is a writer, animation producer, college professor and author of more than 15 books on animation history. He is a former studio exec with Nickelodeon Movies and Disney, and has written for The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. He has curated cartoons for DVD and Blu-ray compilations and has lent his expertise to dozens of bonus documentaries and audio commentaries on such.
