The new Cartoon Roots: Feline Follies chronicles some of Messmer’s early animation work from the late 1910s and through some of 1923.
After taking a little crash course in streaming video, I decided to go ahead with my regularly scheduled 16mm Cartoon programs in a completely new format that allows anyone – even you – to view.
Here’s a short breakdown on each of the cartoons on my upcoming DVD/blu-ray set – and the folks and institutions that were my film sources.
