Love this cartoon – and from a technical standpoint, is full of well staged shots, including some really fun moving backgrounds.
Scrappy as a Canadian Mountie, who should be arrested for sending Oopy out in sub-zero weather – in what appears to be only a nightshirt.
“Scrappy, the cute little early thirties cartoon character, runs his own sleazy flop house”. Whenever I see this cartoon, I think of that description.
A favorite ‘Spooky’ cartoon – Scrappy is ‘Puttin’ Out the Kitten’ (1937). It’s one of my favorites, though I know over the years it’s probably confused more audiences as much as anything else.
