… and this week’s question: what ‘missing’ piece of a cartoon was a revelation for you?
One of the films that I scanned recently was a German titled print the Flip the Frog cartoon “Bulloney” with a very cool title card.
This particular print contains footage that no other print we’ve found seems to have.
Internal and external rattlings on the cult of “rare” pieces of animation history, and some more Flip Fanfares too!

There are so many cartoons that need to be restored. This week I thought it might be fun to make a list of the top ten cartoons I’d like to see a beautiful copy of.
I thought I’d pull a few examples from my projects to demonstrate some of the issues involved in trying to make the best versions of these things possible.
