A reader identified as “Steveatserve” has recently sent me a long rambling letter requesting information – and here is my attempt to answer him as best I can.
In the Fall of 1962, Walt Disney called Bill Justice and X. Atencio to his office to meet Mexican film producer Carlos Amador, who wanted to use the 3 Little Pigs in an animated segment.

Most existent versions of these cartoons were panned-and-scanned for television airings, so I took upon myself to find as many wide-format prints on film as possible – the only way to view these cartoons the proper way.
MADOX-01 is memorable today for two reasons: it was the first release of AnimEigo, on April 1, 1990; and it was animated by Hideaki Anno of GAINAX, which was responsible for the key animation.
