I was lucky to find this print a handful of years back, printed in Fugi color that tends to retain more of the tones than other stocks.
There’s some good ones – and a few strange ones – in this week’s mix, including glitzy starring stints for Pluto, Droopy, and Warner’s Three Bears.
In 1932, at the movies, the musical had returned to popular favor, and even the cartoons seemed to be improving.
And so we conclude our brief two-part article on Azaro, Melgarejo and Bisso. Three geniuses in their own right.
Four animated shorts, each an Oscar winner and each one also celebrating an anniversary this year.

In the latter years of the 60’s cartoons and comics were being watched keenly and closely by the intelligentsia – believe it or not!
